What I Shoot

I shoot the 5.56x45mm NATO round (military), also known as .223 Remington (civilian). This round is the standard chambering round for all NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) countries. It was the round that replaced the 7.62x51mm round during the Vietnam War. Though the 5.56 round is smaller than the 7.62 when it hits flesh it tumbles and shatters.
The rifle is an AR-15 Armalite Match Rifle. Though it is semi-automatic (only one shot for every time you pull the trigger) you can still get a good 650-700 rounds off in a minute.
I shoot prone, sitting & standing at ranges of 200, 300 and 600 yards. From 9 AM to 12 shooting off about 100 rounds.

I'm a 16 year old kid just getting started in the gun world, shooting CMP competition at 200, 300, and 600 yards. I would love to learn more about all forms of rifles & pistols. And eventually I plan to get into the gun-smiting business.
